Ryan Slone (he/him) is a posterist and assistant professor of graphic design at the University of Arkansas School of Art in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He received his MFA from Vermont College of Fine Arts in Montpelier, Vermont, after pursuing graduate studies at Miami Ad School in Atlanta, Georgia. He worked at Pentagram in New York City with Michael Bierut, and has been a practicing designer and educator for the last decade. Ryan’s work has been chronicled in books, periodicals, and exhibitions throughout the United States and internationally. His research activity centers on social-advocacy poster design, speculative processes, and constraint-led provocations.
